Brother Larry Whitney has served as a university chaplain at Brandeis and Boston Universities, has consulted for campuses regarding religious and spiritual life policy, leadership, and practice, and has begun exploring community chaplaincy through the Ashoka Faith-Inspired Changemaker Masterclass and Lab. As a scholar, Brother Larry is currently pursuing projects on psychedelics, religious experience, and health applications, and at the intersection of philosophy of religion, cognitive science, and artificial intelligence as a research associate at the Center for Mind and Culture and the National Museum of American History. His MDiv and PhD are from Boston University, prior to which he completed a Bachelor of Music degree at Ithaca College.
